Child custody complaint leads to arrest in Laurel County

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Jake Miller along with Deputy Taylor McDaniel and Bailiff Roy Ball arrested Rebecca J. Fultz age 31 of Red Hill Rd., Livingston on Tuesday evening July 3, 2018 at approximately 5:19 PM.

The arrest occurred off Philpot Road, approximately 3 miles south of London after deputies were dispatched to a child custody complaint there.

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies notified social services who responded to the scene and after an investigation, social services placed custody of the children with the biological father.

The mother of the children who was outside the residence began creating a disturbance yelling and cursing and was arrested by deputies.

During the arrest the female subject scuffled with deputies and while being placed in the police car spit on deputies.

Rebecca J. Fultz was charged with disorderly conduct – second degree; assault - third-degree – police officer is victim; resisting arrest. In addition, this subject was charged on a outstanding Rockcastle County District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on numerous charges.

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
