Bimble, Ky. - On July 2, 2018 at 5:39 p.m. Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan received a call that a male individual had been found deceased in a small creek located off of Ky. 3439 in the Bimble community of Knox County. Troopers and Detectives from Post 10 responded and began an investigation.
Preliminary investigation indicates a family member located Steven Vance Mills (48) of Bimble in the creek deceased and contacted authorities. Mr. Mills was located approximately 40 yards from his residence. Detectives are currently collecting evidence and information at the scene.
The cause of death is not known at this time. The body will be sent to Frankfort in the morning for an autopsy at the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
At this time KSP is investigating this case as a death investigation.
Case is still under investigation by Det. Aaron Frederick. Also assisted at the scene were officers from Barbourville Police Department.
