Pineville, Ky. - On June 8, 2018 Kentucky State Police Detective Justin Barton made an arrest involving a sexual abuse complaint stemming from an investigation that started on May 3, 2018. Det. Barton began the investigation when Bell Central School contacted Post 10 Harlan reporting a sexual abuse complaint involving a school bus driver and student.
During the investigation it was discovered through interviews and statements that David Deitsch (68) of Calvin inappropriately touched a female student on different occasions.
Mr. Deitsch was suspended by the Bell County School System after being made aware of the allegations and resigned as a bus driver.
Mr. Deitsch was charged with sexual abuse 1st degree and lodged into the Bell County Detention Center.
Case is still under investigation by Det. Justin Barton.
