KSP Investigates Death of a Two Year Old Found in a Car



Crittenden, Ky. (June 10, 2018) — Kentucky State Police, Dry Ridge, Post 6 Detectives are currently investigating the death of a two year old that was found inside of a car.

On June 9, 2018 at approximately 6:00 pm Kentucky State Police Dispatch received a 911 call at 5 Big Bear Circle in Crittenden KY, in reference to an unresponsive 2 year old that had be located in a Mercury Grand Marquis.

Once on scene a Trooper attempted life saving measures that were ultimately unsuccessful. The toddler was pronounced deceased at St Elizabeth Hospital in Grant County by the Grant County Coroner.

The investigation is ongoing and an autopsy has been scheduled.

The investigation is being led by Detective Joseph Filiatreau.

Kentucky State Police urges parents to Look Before You Leave.

  • Placing your purse or bags in the back seat to make yourself turn around when you arrive somewhere.
  • Placing your cell phone in the back so you have to turn around to pick it up.
  • If you are at your residence and you are unable to locate your child, one of the first places you should look is inside of your vehicle because of the dangers that surround it.
