Vehicle Pursuit and Arrest / Laurel County

London, Ky. – On Wednesday, May 02, 2018 at approximately 7:50 AM, Kentucky State Police Post 11, London was notified by the Scott County Sheriff’s Office regarding Deputies pursuing a vehicle traveling southbound on Interstate-75 crossing into Madison County at a high rate of speed.

Troopers joined the pursuit in Madison County and learned the suspect later identified as Stacy D. Scott, 47, of Lexington refused to stop for Deputies after they attempted to stop her for several traffic violations. Stacy Scott continued traveling southbound at a high rate of speed and continued into Rockcastle and Laurel Counties where at around the 41-mile marker Troopers were able to deploy a tire deflation device disabling the vehicle.

Stacy Scott was arrested without incident and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center and charged with Speeding 26 MPH or greater in a Construction Zone, Fleeing Evading Police 1st Degree, DUI, Operating on a Suspended License and several other traffic charges.

Trooper Mike King is continuing the investigation. He was assisted by Troopers from Post 11, Post 7, Scott County Sheriff’s Office, Georgetown Police Department, Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement, London Police Department and Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.
