Drug arrests by Sheriff's detectives and deputies - Laurel County

Sheriff John Root stated that the "War on Drugs" continues

Laurel County, KY -  Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Kevin Berry along with Detective Chris Edwards and Lieut. Greg Poynter arrested two individuals on Wednesday afternoon April 25, 2018 at approximately 4:29 PM.

The arrests occurred off Pine Grove Road, approximately 12 miles south of London while detectives and deputies were conducting a drug investigation there and found two individuals with methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

The two individuals arrested were identified as:

  • Deanna N. Baker age 33 of Robert E. Cox Road, Corbin charged with possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Lawrence R. Collinsworth age 35 of Robert E. Cox Road, Corbin charged with possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
