WCSD Press Release (Apr 9, 2018) - Whitley County Sheriff's Department is reporting that at around 11:30 P.M.on April 5, 2018, Deputy Brian Hensley, assisted by deputies Jonas Saunders and Brandon Prewitt and Court Security Officer Donnie Witt went to an Old Corbin Road residence in the Woodbine community.
Deputy Hensley was attempting to serve a failure to appear warrant on Glenda Murray and a felony warrant on her brother, Glen Murray.
At a residence owned by Dennis Wagers, 50, deputies located Glenda Murray, but her brother was not present. During a search of the property, a glass pipe consistent with the use of methamphetamine was located in the kitchen. Upon further investigation, more glass pipes were located. Located behind a photo hanging on a wall were two plastic bags containing a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine.
Glenda Murray, 37, of Corbin, was arrested for failure to appear and also charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (meth) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wagers was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (meth), possession of drug paraphernalia and third-degree possession of a control substance due to an unmarked bottle of pills being found in the home. Both were lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.
Glen Murray is still wanted for arrest. Anybody with information of his whereabouts should contact Whitley Co. E911 at (606) 549-6017. In case of emergency, always dial 911.
