Death Investigation & related Missing Person Investigation - Laurel County

Laurel County, KY -  Sheriff John Root, Captain Chuck Johnson, Laurel Sheriff's Detective Sgt. Kevin Berry along with Detective Chris Edwards and Detective Kyle Gray, Lt. Greg Poynter along with Laurel County Coroner Doug Bowling are conducting a death investigation regarding the discovery of a deceased individual off Hunters Trace, approximately 1/2 mile west of London on Tuesday afternoon March 20, 2018 at approximately 3:20 PM.

An autopsy will be conducted in Frankfort on Wednesday morning to determine the identity and cause of death.

Related to this investigation, the Laurel County Sheriff's office is conducting a missing person's investigation and seeking the missing person as a person of interest to check his well-being.

The individual being sought is identified as: Kenneth W. Lipscomb (pictured left) age 55 described as 5'4" 160 pounds, brown and gray balding short hair. This individual could be driving a white colored 2011 Ford F–150 with a white camper shell attached with Kentucky license number 568MMM. This individual could be driving some other vehicle possibly.

This individual should be considered armed and dangerous. If encountered, please contact law enforcement immediately.

Laurel County Sheriff's detectives continue to investigate this case.
