Stolen firearm arrests during traffic stop in London

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Daniel Grigsby along with Deputy Taylor McDaniel arrested two individuals on North Main St. in London early Friday morning March 9, 2018 at approximately 12:13 AM.

The arrest occurred after deputies conducted a traffic stop on a white colored Toyota Camry and learned that the driver was operating on suspended operator's license and both the driver and passenger were found in possession of a reported stolen firearm from Harlan.

Arrested was:

Ted Vaughn age 52 of Barbourville charged with operating on suspended or revoked operator's license; rear license plate not illuminated; failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance – first offense; carrying a concealed weapon; possession of a handgun by a convicted felon; and receiving stolen property – firearm.

Sheena L. Boone age 34 of Lily charged with carrying a concealed weapon; and receiving stolen property – firearm.

These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
