Theft of Mail arrest in Laurel County

Laurel County, KY -  Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Sgt. Kevin Berry along with Detective Chris Edwards and Lieut. Greg Poynter arrested Michael N. Taylor age 31 of London on Friday morning February 23, 2018 at approximately 11:27 AM.

The arrest occurred off Pine Grove Road in an apartment complex parking lot approximately 13 miles south of London after the Sheriff's office was dispatched to a complaint that a male subject was possibly breaking into mailboxes there.

Upon arrival at the scene the suspect was observed opening mailboxes and was found in possession of mail belonging to someone else.

Upon arrest, the suspect attempted to pull away but was taken into custody.

Michael Taylor was charged with theft of mail matter; criminal mischief – second degree; disorderly conduct – second degree; resisting arrest; and criminal trespassing – third-degree – this subject had been trespassed from this property previously.

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
