KSP - Arrest made in Laurel County School Threat

London, Ky. (February 19, 2018) - On Saturday, February 17, 2018 at approximately 1:45 PM, Kentucky State Police Post 11, London received a call about a social media post threatening North Laurel Middle School in Laurel County.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a 14-year-old male who attends North Laurel Middle School sent a message to another student threatening to shoot up the school.

The juvenile was located several hours later, arrested, and lodged in the Breathitt County Juvenile Detention Center on the charge of Terroristic Threatening 2nd Degree.

Trooper Michael L. Howell is continuing the investigation. He was assisted by Troopers from Post 11 and officials with the Laurel County School System.
