Burglary Investigation and Arrests / Laurel County

London, Ky. - On Tuesday, February 06, 2018 at approximately 8:30 PM, Kentucky State Police Post 11, London received a report of a burglary that had taken place at Lucky’s Gun and Pawn located on Cumberland Gap Parkway in the Corbin community of Laurel County.

Upon arrival, Trooper Jason McCowan discovered that the pawn shop had indeed been burglarized and learned that several firearms had been stolen. At approximately 8:40 PM, Trooper McCowan was notified that Corbin Police Department had stopped a vehicle that they had been looking for on several burglaries that had occurred in the same area the past several days. Trooper McCowan was also notified that they had located 10 firearms inside the vehicle with tags still on them. Trooper McCowan responded to the scene and discovered that the firearms in the vehicle matched the serial numbers to the ones stolen from Lucky’s Gun and Pawn.

Trooper McCowan arrested both occupants, James J. Trammell, 18 and Michael A. Rednour, 29 both of Corbin, and lodged them in the Laurel County Detention Center on charges of Burglary 1st Degree and Possession of Burglary Tools. Other charges are pending from the Corbin Police Department and the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.

Trooper McCowan is continuing his investigation.
