HUSTONVILLE, Ky. (January 6, 2018) – The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was notified just before 9:40 pm last night of a possible shooting that occurred on Raintree Drive in the Hustonville community of Lincoln County.
When KSP Personnel arrived on scene they located a female with an apparent gunshot wound inside the residence, and administered first aid until Lincoln County EMS arrived on scene. The injured female, identified as Kala A. Francisco, 31 years old of Hustonville, was transported to Ephraim McDowell Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.
As a result of the initial investigation, Shawn E. Faulkner, 26 years old of Hustonville was taken into custody at the scene. Faulkner has been lodged at the Lincoln County Detention Center charged with Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The ongoing death investigation is being conducted by KSP Post 7 Detective Frank Thornberry. He was assisted at the scene by KSP Personnel, Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, and Lincoln County EMS.
