UPDATE - DUI arrest at Sheriff's Office in London

London, KY - Laurel Sheriff John Root along with Detective Kyle Gray, Capt. Chuck Johnson, Lieut. Greg Poynter, and Sgt. Robbie Grimes arrested Jo Michelle Floyd age 47 of London on Wednesday afternoon January 31, 2018 at approximately 4:17 PM.

The arrest occurred off Broad Street at the Laurel County Sheriff's Office after this individual drove a gold colored Ford Fusion to London along with another adult and a juvenile and created a disturbance with office staff at the Sheriff's office.

An investigation was conducted on the driver who was determined to be under the influence. The driver admitted taking Suboxone and Ativan and other pills that she could not remember.

Jo Michelle Floyd was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense; wanton endangerment – second degree; failure to produce insurance card; and failure to wear seatbelts and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

An adult passenger in the vehicle was also determined to be under the influence and was identified as the mother of the juvenile in the vehicle. This subject gave deputies a false name – using her sister's name.  This individual was identified as Retina Dawn Robinson age 40 of London charged with public intoxication – controlled substances: wanton endangerment – second degree; and giving officer false identifying information. This subject was also charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense and possession of a controlled substance.  This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

When the father of the juvenile came to the Sheriff's Office to pick up the juvenile, he was determined to be under the influence and was arrested at the Sheriff's office and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center. He is identified as Tommy A. Porter age 49 of London charged with public intoxication – controlled substances.

The juvenile in the vehicle was released to other family by Social Services.
