Domestic Violence complaint investigated in Laurel County

Laurel County, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Kyle Gray along with Deputy Gary Mehler arrested two individuals on Tuesday night January 30, 2018 at approximately 9:37 PM..

The arrests occurred off Boardwalk Circle, approximately 3 miles north of London after Detective Gray and Social Services traveled to a residence there to investigate a domestic violence complaint.

During the investigation it was determined that a boyfriend had allegedly struck a girlfriend in the face.

In addition, it was determined that the two adults living there had apparently used drugs in the residence while five juveniles were present in the residence. A glass pipe was located there.

Arrested was:

  • Kimberlee Marie Lunsford age19 of London charged with five counts of wanton endangerment – second-degree and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Payton Seabrook Smith age 28 of London charged with five counts of wanton endangerment – second-degree and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. This individual was also charged with assault – 4th degree – domestic violence.
  • These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
