Laurel County, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested William Anthony Allen age 36 of London on Tuesday afternoon January 23, 2018 at approximately 3:11 PM on CampGround School Road approximately 7 miles south of London.
The arrest occurred after Deputy Cloyd was dispatched to a burglary in progress there.
Upon arrival at the scene, Deputy Cloyd observed this subject standing in front of a vehicle holding a blue bag. The suspect attempted to conceal the blue bag under the car. An investigation was conducted and the bag contained 4 lighters, one glass pipe, and two bags of suspected methamphetamine.
It was determined that the suspect was a relative of the home owner and although the suspect had removed hundreds of dollars worth of items, the homeowners refused to press charges on the burglary.
William Anthony Allen was charged with possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine; tampering with physical evidence; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
