Interstate 75 closure in Rockcastle County scheduled for Jan. 9 - 10


Nighttime closure for setting of bridge beams

London, Ky. (January 8, 2018) – Kentucky State Police Post 11, London advises motorists that Interstate 75 in Rockcastle County will be closed beginning January 09, 2018 to allow crews to set bridge beams for the KY 1505 bridge reconstruction project.

The closure will begin at approximately 10 p.m. EST on Tuesday, January 09, 2018 and will reopen by 6 a.m. EST on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 and will consist of all southbound lanes along with the left (inside) northbound lane being closed to traffic.

Motorists traveling on I-75 south will detour via Exit 76 (Berea) onto U.S. 25 and reconnect with I-75 in Mt. Vernon.

In addition, on Thursday, January 11, 2018 crews will perform a series of rolling road blocks on all northbound lanes beginning at approximately 10 a.m. EST. These rolling road blocks will last approximately 15 minutes and will occur periodically throughout the day.

The date and duration of work may be adjusted for inclement weather or other unforeseeable delays.
