Injury traffic crash on I-75 in Laurel County

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Brandon Broughton along with Sgt. Brett Reeves investigated a single vehicle injury traffic crash which occurred on I-75, approximately 6 miles north of London on Tuesday afternoon January 3, 2017 at approximately 12:52 PM.

The investigating deputies report that apparently an SUV was traveling northbound on I-75 and lost control on the wet road surface, traveled over a guardrail and overturned.

Northbound lanes were shut down for approx. 30 minutes while the crash was investigated.

The driver and only occupant of the vehicle had to be extricated.

The driver was identified as: William Scott Baldwin age 51 of Seymour, Tennessee – transported by Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County to St. Joseph Hospital London for treatment of injuries.

Assisting at the scene was: Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County, London-Laurel Rescue Squad, and Laurel County Fire Department.
