IDENTIFIED - LSO deputy lodges Jane Doe in LCDC on multiple charges


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Keith Dinsmore arrested a female subject after a complaint on Thursday evening November 24, 2016 at approximately 5:05 PM.

The arrest occurred off US 25 approximately 7 miles south of London after Deputy Dinsmore was dispatched to a complaint that a female subject was attempting to get into people's homes in that area and allegedly appeared to be very disoriented and did not know where she was at.

When Deputy Dinsmore arrived at the scene, he located her across US 25 on the side of the roadway, and when he approached her she attempted to fight with him and following a short scuffle was taken into custody.

She refused to identify herself or give Deputy Dinsmore any information.

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center as Jane Doe - Charged with public intoxication – controlled substances; resisting arrest; disorderly conduct – second degree; and assault – third-degree police officer is the victim. 

This subject has now been identified as Kayleigh Rebecca Smith age 19 of London, KY.
