Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Sgt. Brett Reeves along with Lieut. Greg Poynter and Deputy Brandon Broughton arrested Lesley Bryant age 48 of Philpot Rd., London on Wednesday morning November 23, 2016 at approximately 11:32 AM.
The arrest occurred off Philpot Road, approximately 3 miles south of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that a stolen boat was allegedly located there.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they located the boat in plain view beside an outbuilding and ran a check on it and learned that it was reported stolen out of Lincoln County.
Deputies secured permission from the home owner to search the property and located the suspect hiding in the bathroom shower. This subject claimed ownership of the boat but also stated he knew the boat was stolen.
Leslie Bryant was charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000 and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
