MANCHESTER, KY (May 28, 2019) - Just before noon on Tuesday May 28, 2019 a man on trial for the 2015 murder of a Sextons Creek man pleaded guilty in the nearly 4 year old case.
On Monday, July 13, 2015, KSP Detectives discovered the body of Lawrence Sizemore, 68, in his Sextons Creek home. Evidence indicated that Mr. Sizemore had been murdered.
On April 3, 2018 Zernon Gray age 50 of Manchester was charged & booked into the Clay County Detention Center by the Kentucky State Police.
Just before jury selection was to begin today Zernon Gray pleaded guilty to Murder and Arson.
Gray received a 25 year sentence for Murder and a 10 year sentence for Arson.
The sentences will run concurrently.
