Clay County, Ky. - Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: On May 18, 2019 at 1:30 AM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Tommy Houston arrested William Williams, 54 of Avawam, Ky.
The arrested occurred when Deputy Houston was on routine patrol when he conducted a traffic stop for vehicle infractions on Hal Roger's Parkway.
Upon contact with the driver a strong odor of marijuana was emitting from the vehicle, the driver stated he was smoking marijuana when Deputy Houston activated his emergency lights and disposed of it once the Deputy got behind him.
Through investigation it was determined the subject was under the influence and refused to submit to blood testing.Assisting at the scene was Clay County Sheriff Deputy Brandon Edwards and Manchester City Police Officer Antonio Dodson.
