5 arrested for Burglary in Laurel County

Laurel County Ky. -  Sheriff John Root along with Deputy Taylor McDaniel, Deputy Jamie Etherton, Maj. Chuck Johnson, Detective Sgt. Chris Edwards, Detective Bryon Lawson, and Detective Daniel Grigsby arrested five individuals off Waterworks Road, approximately 1 mile west of London on Wednesday afternoon May 15, 2019 at approximately 12:18 PM.

The arrests occurred after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of individuals allegedly unlawfully inside a vacant residence there. The owner of the property advised that the residence was not rented out at this time.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they located five individuals at the residence, one of which gave deputies a false name and false identifying information, and three of the individuals there had outstanding warrants.

The arrested individuals were identified as:

  • Brandi Jo Miller age 34 of Litton Town Rd., London charged with burglary – second-degree.
  • Tara Wright age 21 of Cornett subdivision, London charged with burglary – second-degree.
  • Justin Seeley age 23 of Sinking Creek Rd., London charged with burglary – second-degree; giving officer false identifying information. In addition, this individual was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of operating on suspended or revoked operator’s license and other charges.
  • Steven W. Williams age 44 of Rivera Ln., London charged with burglary – second-degree. In addition, this subject was charged on a Mercer District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to attend counseling. In addition, the subject was charged on a Fayette District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear.
  • Elbert Lee McFadden age 44 of Conley Rd., London charged with burglary – second-degree. In addition, the subject was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court – arrearage allegedly owed $1139.07. Also this individual was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging MCR violations regarding a charge of possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine.
  • All five individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
