Clay County Sheriff & Chief Deputy arrest 2 brothers at complaint scene

Clay County, Ky. - The Clay County Sheriff's Office is reporting that: On April 17, 2019 at approximately 3:00 PM Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson along with Clay County Chief Deputy Clifton Jones arrested responded to a complaint where they placed two individuals under arrest.

Arrested was:

Timothy Stewart, 43 and Daniel Stewart, 53 both of Belles Fork Road.

The arrest occurred on Belles Fork Road when Sheriff Robinson and Chief Deputy Jones responded to a complaint of Tim Stewart at a residence beating up the front porch with an axe.

Contact was made with the subject upon arrival where he stated he was intoxicated and was ready to go to jail.

Upon making the arrest of the subject, the brother whose name is Daniel Stewart became belligerent while Sheriff Robinson and Chief Deputy Jones was placing Tim Stewart in the vehicle.

He was told to move and go away multiple times where he stated he wasn’t going anywhere that Sheriff Robinson would have to take him to jail also. Upon being placed under arrest the subject began to struggle and resist arrest, after a brief scuffle the subject was placed under arrest without further incident.

Timothy Stewart was charged with:

  • Disorderly Conduct, 1st Degree
  • Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
  • Criminal Mischief, 2nd Degree
  • Terroristic Threatening
  • Daniel Stewart was charged with:

  • Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
  • Disorderly Conduct
  • Resisting Arrest
