LONDON, KY (October 20, 2020) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Keith Dinsmore along with Bailiff Jerry Poynter arrested Shaunda Moore age 42 of Beech Creek Road, Manchester, KY on Tuesday afternoon October 20, 2020 at approximately 12:37 PM.

FRANKFORT, Ky.  – For the past 15 years, the Kentucky State Police (KSP) ‘Safe Trick or Treat’ drive-through event has been a holiday tradition in Frankfort. Annually, it draws nearly 1,000 people in a two-hour time span, where KSP volunteers dress up in costumes and hand out candy and treats. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and out of concern for safety, KSP made the tough decision to cancel the event for the first time. The agency is encouraging children (and pets) to showcase their Halloween costumes by entering the ‘KSP Virtual Halloween Costume Contest’.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and U.S. Congressman Harold "Hal" Rogers (KY-05) announced today Volunteers of America Mid-States (VOA) was awarded a $700,000 competitive federal grant from a U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Office for Victims of Crime's (OVC) grant program. Senator McConnell and Congressman Rogers contacted DOJ on behalf of their constituents' grant application and their mission to help save lives from addiction.
