LEGISLATIVE UPDATE

Just a day after I finished writing my last update, the governor issued a call for the legislature to convene a special session to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. We convened on Tuesday, September 7 and spent a whirlwind three days considering legislation, eventually overriding several vetoes issued by the governor before leaving Frankfort late Thursday night.
SALYERSVILLE, KY (September 13, 2021) – Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post received a call on September 12, 2021, at 6:23 P.M. reporting a single vehicle collision had occurred on Old Burning Fork Road in the Salyersville community of Magoffin County. A trooper from Post 9 responded and began the investigation.
SEATTLE, WA - The Seattle Police Department is reporting that: Detectives are investigating after three men were shot in the leg Sunday evening along Aurora Avenue.
RICHMOND, KY (September 13, 2021) –The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post, which provides coverage for Madison, Clark, Estill, Lee, Owsley, Jackson, Mercer, Boyle, Lincoln, Garrard and Jessamine counties, will be conducting periodic traffic safety checkpoints at locations approved by the Kentucky State Police Policy and Procedures Manual.
MORROW COUNTY, OR (September 13, 2021) - On Sunday, September 12, 2021 at approximately 12:16 PM, Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a motorcycle crash on Highway 207 near milepost 20C, south of Heppner.
FRANKFORT, KY – On Thursday, September 9, 2021 during his weekly Team Kentucky update, Gov. Andy Beshear said more teams from the Kentucky National Guard will arrive over the next week at strained Kentucky hospitals.
