MARTIN, KY (May 11, 2022) –The Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post received a 911 call on Monday, May 9, 2022, regarding an assault that occurred in the Martin community of Floyd County.

Amy Samples, who is the Vice President of Community Outreach at AppHarvest, has joined the Board of Directors of Eastern Kentucky PRIDE, the nonprofit that promotes environmental cleanup and tourism in southern and eastern Kentucky.

LEXINGTON, KY (May 10, 2022) — The U.S. Attorney’s Office Eastern District of Kentucky reported on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 that two men, James Garfield Charles, 52, of Lexington, and Vincent Adams Vassor, 55, of Los Angeles, were sentenced to 380 months and 320 months in federal prison, respectively, by Chief U.S. District Judge Danny C. Reeves, after being convicted of various drug trafficking charges.

MCKENZIE, TN (May 10, 2022) – A joint investigation by special agents with the Drug Investigation Division of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, McKenzie Police Department, and Huntington Police Department into illegal drug activity has led to the arrest of three women on drug and weapon charges.
