Clay County, KY (November 18, 2022) - Today is the Friday before Thanksgiving and I have found myself spending a lot of time thinking about the upcoming holidays.  There is always a "generational divide" concerning certain issues and I often contemplate how things have changed during my lifetime as I'm sure many in each generation do.  The biggest concern I have during the holiday season for people of all generations today, especially our youth, is the idea of entitlement.

LONDON, KY - The Laurel County Sheriff's Office reported in a news release to ClayCoNews on Thursday, November 17th, 2022, that: Laurel County Sheriff John Root along with Sheriff's detectives, deputies, and K-9 teams along with collaborative assistance from area law enforcement agencies arrested 22 individuals recently following the ongoing "War on Drugs" that Sheriff Root pledged that his office would continually conduct.

Frankfort, KY (November 16, 2022) - Governor Andy Beshear's Executive Order to allow the possession and use of legally purchased medical cannabis is not without opposition.

FRANKFORT, KY - In an effort to reduce Kentuckians’ reliance on addictive opioids and to provide them relief from pain, Governor Andy Beshear said yesterday that, starting next year, Kentuckians with certain severe medical conditions and who meet specific requirements will be able to possess and use small amounts of legally purchased medical cannabis to treat their medical conditions.
