JACKSON COUNTY, OR (May 30, 2023) - The Oregon State Police (OSP) is reporting that on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at approximately 5:04 P.M., OSP responded to a two vehicle crash on Highway 62, near milepost 17, in Jackson County.

WASHINGTON, DC -- U.S. Rep. Harold "Hal" Rogers (KY-05) announced the winners of the 2023 Congressional Art Competition for Kentucky's Fifth Congressional District. Amiee Compton, a senior at Shelby Valley High School in Pike County, won first place and her artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building, representing Eastern Kentucky. Alyssa Smith, a junior at Leslie County High School, won second place for her Supergirl pop art. Julia Bryant, a senior at Whitley County High School, submitted an oil painting of Secretariat, winning third place honors. 

MOUNT STERLING, KY – Women’s Health Care Month is recognized nationally each May, and this year, CHI Saint Joseph Health is encouraging women in Kentucky to slow down and focus on something they may neglect – their mental health. From juggling work, family and possibly aging parents, women have a lot on their plate. They may also be worried about things like finances, crime, the environment, and what future generations will be faced with. Coping with it all can become a struggle.
