(LONDON, KY.) – On August 01, 2012, at approximately 1:00 PM the Kentucky State Police Post 11 Criminal Interdiction Team conducted a traffic stop, on a 2011, Chevrolet, Impala, on I-75 in Rockcastle County.

During the course of the traffic stop officers developed a reasonable suspicion that unlawful activity was occurring and after an investigative pat down of the driver discovered six grams of Marijuana. Further investigation led to the discovery of three grams of Crystal Meth, an SKS rifle and Drug Paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

Sheldon S. Edwards, 28, of Carrollton, Georgia was arrested and charged with DUI, Possession of Marijuana, Trafficking in a Control Substance 2^nd, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting Arrest.

He was lodged in the Rockcastle County Detention Center.
