LEXINGTON, Ky.– Governor Steve Beshear and First Lady Jane Beshear today joined Tiffany & Co. Chairman and CEO Michael J. Kowalski and Lexington Mayor Jim Gray to celebrate the grand opening of the company’s new jewelry manufacturing center in Lexington. Community leaders and guests were invited to breakfast at Tiffany to commence the opening, which is creating 125 jobs in the community.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Initiative / All Post 11 Counties

(LONDON, KY.) – The Kentucky State Police, Post 11, London, will be participating in the DEA National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day to be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 10 AM to 2 PM.

2013 Call for Projects for Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Funds

The Kentucky Infrastructure Authority and the Kentucky Division of Water are announcing the 2013 Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) and the 2013 Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) Call for Projects.  The 2013 Call for Projects will be open from September 20, 2011 to November 18, 2011.  Project submittals will happen electronically and will be coordinated through the Area Water Management Councils.  No paper submittals will be accepted.

Three arrested during traffic stop in Knox County

(Corbin) On September 24, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan received a call of three individuals parked in a white passenger car in the Corbin Kroger parking lot. Troopers were told that all three individuals had come into the store and bought one box of pseudo ephedrine pills.

Kentucky State Parks Halloween Events During October

FRANKFORT, Ky. – It’s time to get out the pumpkins and ghoulish decorations at Kentucky State Parks as they prepare for one of the most popular times of the year – Halloween.

Many of the park system’s campgrounds will be having special activities for campers, including decorations, costumes, hayrides and games for the kids. And other resort parks, recreation parks and historic sites will also have special events during October – a great time to be outside with family and friends.

KSP Cadet Application Deadline Approaching For Written Exam in Morehead, Ky.

(FRANKFORT, KY) – The Kentucky State Police will hold testing for its next cadet class at 9:00 am EST on Oct. 15, 2011 at Morehead State University. All application materials must be completed and returned to the KSP Recruitment Branch at 919 Versailles Road, Frankfort, KY, 40601 by Oct. 7. The next cadet class is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2012.
