Clay County / Man falls from moving vehicle

(LONDON, KY.) – On Wednesday October 26, 2011 at approximately 1:50 p.m. the Kentucky State Police, Post 11, London received a report of an injury to a person that fell from a moving vehicle on Paw Paw Road in Clay County. 

Death Investigation / Rockcastle County

(LONDON, KY.) – On Wednesday October 26, 2011 at approximately 4:12 AM the Kentucky State Police, Post 11, London received a report, from the Rockcastle County 911 Center, of a possible domestic incident in a vehicle on I-75 in Rockcastle County. 

Laurel County / Hindering apprehension arrest

According to Sheriff John Root, Laurel Sheriff’s Deputy Jason Back assisted by Sgt. Rodney Van Zant attempted to execute a felony arrest warrant for manufacturing meth on Russell Mays age 29, on Ray Johnson Road, 5 miles east of London on Tuesday morning (10-25-2011) at 8:30 A.M.

Former police officers nabbed in drug investigation

MANCHESTER – Two former Manchester City Police officers were among those arrested on drug trafficking charges during a roundup conducted Tuesday, October 25.

By early afternoon 10 of the 15 suspects were in custody.

The arrests followed a six-month undercover investigation by Operation UNITE and the Manchester Police Department.

Kentucky State Police Request Public Assistance in Copper Thefts

(Berea, KY)- The Kentucky State Police (KSP) is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying individuals who have been stealing wires from buildings in the area.  These particular thefts have occurred during night time hours and the perpetrators may have use a utility type vehicle capable of lifting a person high enough into the air to cut the wires.  Information received during the investigation of the latest theft indicated a boom type truck was in the area.  No description was given for the vehicle.

Clay County man arrested in undercover drug buy

According to Sheriff John Root, Laurel Sheriff’s Detective Billy Madden arrested a Clay County man on Monday afternoon (10-24-2011) at 3:30 P.M.  following an undercover investigation by the Laurel County Sheriff’s Department..
