Kentucky ABC Conducts Successful Targeted Enforcement Detail

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Sept. 20, 2011) – Continuing their efforts to restrict youth access to alcohol and keep communities safe, enforcement officials from Kentucky’s Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) conducted a Targeted Enforcement Detail (TED) in areas adjacent to the campus of University of Kentucky on Saturday, Sept. 17, during the University of Kentucky vs. University of Louisville football game.

PRIDE and Forest Service partner with Clay County to remove dumps

MANCHESTER, KY — Saturday marked the beginning of the end for five illegal dumps in the Daniel Boone National Forest near Manchester, thanks to a partnership between PRIDE, the U.S. Forest Service’s Redbird Ranger District and Clay County Fiscal Court.

LOUISVILLE, KY – Ernest Cadick of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, was sentenced to 48 months in prison, ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $719,650, and fined $1,600 in United States District Court today, by Judge John G. Heyburn II announced David J. Hale, United States Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky.

Medicaid Managed Care Implementation Extended until Nov. 1 in Response to Hospitals’ Request

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Sept. 19, 2011) — Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) Secretary Janie Miller today announced that the implementation date for Medicaid Managed Care, targeted for Oct. 1, 2011, will be extended one month, an option provided in the contracts with managed care organizations. The Cabinet has granted the extension in response to a request from the Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA), which has assured the Cabinet that a one-month extension to Nov. 1, 2011 will allow hospitals adequate time to sign contracts and prepare for implementation.

Kentucky State Police Promotes 29 Officers

(LOUISVILLE, Ky.)--- The Kentucky State Police announced the promotion of 29 officers throughout the state at a special ceremony held today at the Ramada Plaza Hotel in Louisville. Two KSP majors, two captains, four lieutenants and 14 sergeants were commissioned along with seven Commercial Vehicle Enforcement (CVE) sergeants.

Stolen 4 wheeler recovered - Suspect arrested

According to Sheriff John Root, Laurel Sheriff’s Sgt. Josh Gaylor investigated the theft of a 4 wheeler from Connie Vaughn on Saturday (9-17-2011).

On Saturday evening at 7:35 P.M., information was developed that the stolen 4 wheeler may be at a residence on East Pittsburg Church Road, 2 miles north east of London.
