If association paves the way to success, then Walter Foster is well on his way. He spent twelve years with James Brown as Road Manager, Stage Manager, and back-up vocalist. Prior to his James Brown association, Walter sang some with the Fiestas who had the hit "So Fine". He also spent a year on the road in with the "Otis Redding Show". While with James Brown, Walter founded and established the internationally known young group "Kool and the Gang". Later, he assisted on the road the rock group "Bad Finger" and did some driving for such well known groups as Queen, Taji Mahall, and the late Joe Tex.
As he worked behind the scenes, Walter remarkably found the time to compose music and lyrics and has been relatively successful with his recordings of the songs "Long Time Yesterday" and "Im Going Home". In 1976 Walter captured the attention of the south and epecially the state of Georgia with "Peanut Man". This song was written and produced prior to Jimmy Carter being elected as President.
Walter has expanded his talent and knowledge of the entertainment business through his association with the "Stars" and has continued with song writing. He now plans to make a major contribution of his own to "The Business" with an album showcasing his own style of the oldest and most familiar sound in music, "R&B".
His release "Lady With the Golden Heart" in 1986 was a tribute to the STATUE OF LIBERTY and we are sure that Walter with his musical talent, will soon be blessed with the attention he deserves.
