The quilt square in the front yard was painted by Maggie using the Ohio Star
pattern in black and gold. James Allen made the frame and he and Johnny installed
it. The Ohio Star was chosen to represent all those people who had to leave the
mountains to find work in the North. The black and gold colors represent the love
of home they always kept in their hearts for Clay County.
