(LONDON, KY.) – On Thursday June 28, 2012, Post 11 London received multiple calls in reference to a subject that had fired shots into a residence on Brad Circle Road in Whitley City.

Upon arrival, KSP units determined the accused, Billy J. Coffey, age 58, of Whitley City, had fired several shots into the residence.  Multiple shots went through interior walls of the residences and into a room where a 13 juvenile was located.

Coffey was arrested without incident and lodged in the McCreary County Detention Center.

He was charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st degree.  The incident is being investigated by Trooper Craig Reed.  He was assisted by Trooper Scott Bunch, and the McCreary County Sheriffs Department.
