Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Travis Napier and Sergeant Robbie Grimes arrested Joseph Wallace age 37 of Keavy Road, London on Friday evening August 26th 2016 at approximately 6:53 p.m.
The arrest occurred off Conley Road approximately 1.5 miles east of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that a male subject was in the woods yelling that he was surrounded by snakes.
When deputies arrived and located this subject he told deputies that he was standing on two snakes and others were around. This subject also stated that two other subjects were with him. Deputies failed to locate any snakes or any other subjects in the area.
This individual was determined to be under the influence. This individual was charged with public intoxication - controlled substances ; in addition this subject was charged on a Jackson County Bench Warrant of arrest charging probation violation regarding charges of burglary 3rd degree and theft by unlawful taking.
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
