KSP Charges Barren Co. Man With Child Sexual Exploitation Offenses

Glasgow, Ky. — On August 25, 2016, at approximately 7:13 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch, assisted by KSP Post 3-Bowling Green, arrested Mark F. Berry, 54, on charges related to possession and distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.

Berry was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect sharing images of child sexual exploitation online. Berry distributed images of sexual acts involving children.

The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Berry’s residence in Glasgow on August 25, 2016. Equipment was seized and is pending a forensic examination.

Berry is currently charged with 20 counts of possession and 10 counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. Each charge is a Class-D felony punishable by one to five years in prison. Additional charges are expected.

Berry was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
