Two arrested in Laurel Co. during a Thursday morning drug investigation

Sheriff John Root stated that drug investigations will be continuing on a daily basis

Laurel County, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root , along with  Detective Jason Back, Detective James Sizemore, Maj. Rodney Van Zant, Capt. Chuck Johnson, Deputy Shannon Jones, Deputy Bryon Lawson, with assistance from Deputy Daniel Grigsby and his K-9 "Edge" arrested two individuals off Keavy Road on Thursday morning January 18, 2018 at approximately 10:39 AM.

The arrests occurred while the Sheriff's office was conducting a drug investigation there, where deputies located a large amount of suspected crystal meth.

Those arrested included:

  • Terry W. Baker age 46  of Keavy Rd., London charged with conspiracy to traffic in controlled substance – second-degree – second offense; and criminal trespass – first-degree. In addition this subject was charged on a Laurel District Court warrant of arrest obtained by Laurel Sheriff's Detective Sgt. Kevin Berry charging criminal trespass – first-degree and criminal mischief – first-degree.
  • Eric S. Jarrett age 31 of Riverside loop, Lily charged with conspiracy to traffic in a controlled substance – second-degree – second offense.
  • These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

    Sheriff John Root stated that drug investigations will be continuing on a daily basis.
