Laurel County, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Chris Edwards along with Deputy Josh Scott and Deputy Brad Mink arrested Brett Eugene Hand age 18 of Lily on Monday afternoon January 15, 2018 at approximately 4:29 PM.
The arrest occurred near Lily approximately 6 miles south of London after Sheriff's detectives and deputies were dispatched to conduct an investigation involving two young children there.
Upon arrival investigators learned that this subject had allegedly subjected the two children to sexual contact.
Brett Eugene Hand was charged with two counts of sexual abuse – first-degree and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
