Laurel County, KY - Laurel Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective James Sizemore along with Detective Jason Back, Detective Chris Edwards, Deputy Brandon Broughton, Deputy Brad Mink and Deputy Byron Lawson arrested 6 individuals on drug charges off Paris Karr Road, 12 miles southwest of London on Friday afternoon January 12th, 2018 at approximately 11:26 A.M.
The arrests occurred while the Sheriff's office was conducting a drug investigation there, where deputies located suspected crystal meth and drug paraphernalia including a glass pipe and a needle.
As the investigation continued, a search warrant was executed at the residence, and detectives found a large quantity of meth, scales, pills, and drug paraphernalia. Total amount of crystal meth seized was approx. 55 grams.
Those arrested included:
Tommy E. Lemaster age 29 of Fairmount, Georgia charged with possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine. In addition, the subject was charged on a Knox County bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of assault – 4th degree. Additionally charged with conspiracy to traffick in a controlled substance 1st offense (a Class C Felony).
Michael N. Proffitt age 58 of Paris Karr Road, Corbin charged with possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine. Additionally charged with conspiracy to traffick in a controlled substance 1st offense (a Class C Felony).
Mark W. Davidson age 53 of Game Cock Road, East Bernstadt charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition, the subject was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court – accident involved – regarding a charge of driving on DUI suspended license – first offense. Additionally charged with conspiracy to traffick in a controlled substance 1st offense (a Class C Felony).
Allyson J. Martin age 34 of Spring Cut Circle, London charged with possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine. In addition, the subject was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition, the subject was charged on a second Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense. Additionally charged with conspiracy to traffick in a controlled substance 1st offense (a Class C Felony).
Shannon J. Harrison age 30 of Cambridge, Indiana charged with possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jennifer Marie Baltovich age 31 of 19th St. Corbin charged with possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine. Additionally charged with conspiracy to traffick in a controlled substance 1st offense (a Class C Felony).
All 6 individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
