Laurel County, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Jamie Etherton along with Deputy Jake Miller, Sgt. Robbie Grimes, Deputy Travis Napier, Deputy Brandon Broughton and CSO Brent France investigated a single vehicle, serious injury traffic crash which occurred on Ky. 490 approximately 7 miles north of London, on Monday night January 1st, 2018 at approx. 6:04 P.M..
Investigating deputies report that apparently a pickup truck overturned trapping the driver inside.
The driver and only occupant was Chuck Walters age 44 of Mckee -extricated from the vehicle by London Laurel Rescue Squad and treated at the scene by Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County before being air lifted by Air Methods Helicopter to UK Medical Center, Lexington for treatment.
Assisting at the scene also was Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department, and East Bernstadt Volunteer Fire Department.
