Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Brad Mink along with Deputy Bryon Lawson arrested Brandon L. Karr age 36 of East Bernstadt on Thursday afternoon November 16, 2017 at approximately 3:35 PM.
The arrest occurred off O Johnson Road, approximately 8 miles southwest of London after deputies were dispatched to a domestic violence complaint between boyfriend/girlfriend.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they learned that apparently this subject had assaulted his girlfriend several times by putting his hands around her throat and over her face and had struck her arm with his fist possibly causing a broken arm.
In addition, after the physical assault had occurred, allegedly this subject then had gotten into his black Dodge pickup truck driving it around the yard trying to run the female victim over.
Deputies also noted that the female victim was pregnant.
In addition, during the investigation deputies also learned that Brandon Karr's six-year-old son was present during the alleged assault. Social services was called and the child taken into protective custody.
Brandon Karr was charged with assault – second degree – domestic violence and wanton endangerment – first-degree and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
