Police dispatched to possible burglary in progress - Laurel County

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Daniel Grigsby along with Deputy Shannon Jones arrested two individuals off Lake Road, approximately 4 miles west of London early Sunday morning January 15, 2017 at approximately 4:35 AM.

The arrests occurred after deputies were dispatched to a possible burglary in progress.  While en route to the scene, deputies were advised that two subjects were apparently observed removing property from a residence there.

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies found the two suspects in the parking lot of the residence with property apparently taken from inside the residence sitting outside their car and inside their car. Items taken included DVDs, clothes, make up, and tools.

Deputies found forced entry to the residence through the front door.

The two individuals arrested were identified as:

  • Bambi Adams age 36 of Whitley Rd., London.
  • Samantha Elza age 45 of East Pittsburg Church Rd., Pittsburg.
  • These two individuals were charged with burglary – second-degree and were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
