Sheriff John Pickard reports that on 02-28-2012 at approx. 4:30pm, Deputy Brian Hensley responded to an auto accident on KY 1304. Upon arrival, Deputy Hensley made contact with Mrs. Shannan Messer who stated that she needed help. Deputy Hensley noticed that Mrs. Messer appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance.

Sheriff John Root is reporting that Laurel Sheriff’s Deputy William Bo Harris received a complaint of a possible meth lab on Tuesday afternoon (2-28-2012) at approx. 2 P.M. on Bullock Road (at the overpass), 1 mile north of London.

(FRANKFORT, Ky.)— The Kentucky State Police is now accepting applications from Kentucky high school seniors who are interested in qualifying for $1,000 scholarships that can be used for education expenses beginning in the fall of 2012. To be considered, students must complete and submit all application materials, which are available on the KSP website at www.kentuckytstatepolice.org, by April 1, 2012.

(Richmond, KY) On Monday, February 27, 2012, at 4:16 pm EST Kentucky State Police Richmond Post was contacted by the Owsley County Dispatch concerning a collision on KY 30.  Trooper Brent Lynch responded to the scene.

Sheriff John Root is reporting that Laurel Sheriff’s Deputy Greg Turner investigated a single vehicle fatal traffic crash on Ky 312 , approx 8 miles south of London on Sunday (2-25-2012) evening at approx. 6:10 P.M. Apparently, a 1998 red colored Dodge Dakota pickup truck was traveling south bound on Ky 312 when the wheel dropped off the pavement causing the driver to lose control, leaving the roadway and hitting a tree head-on.

(Hazard,Ky.) On February 27, 2012 Kentucky State Police received a 911 call of a collision involving a dump truck and a passenger car on Hwy. 15 South of Jackson in Breathitt County.

(FRANKFORT, KY) – Preliminary statistics* indicate that ten people died in ten separate crashes on Kentucky roadways from Monday, Feb. 20, through Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012. 

(Irvine, KY) On Monday February 27, 2012 at 2:26 am EST Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was contacted by the Estill County 911 dispatch center, to request that KSP investigate a collision involving Irvine Police Department Officer James Gross and George Davis.  Trooper First Class Toby Coyle responded to KY 52 / Richmond Road where the collision occurred and began his investigation.
