KSP reports that US 25 north of London is closed(LONDON, KY.) – The Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London reports there will be a road closure on US 25 north of London, KY at the 19 mile marker to the 19.5 mile marker for utility construction work to repair damage that occurred during the storms Friday night.

Gov. Beshear Requests Expedited Federal Major Disaster Declaration for KentuckySunday, March 04, 2012 FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Steve Beshear is formally requesting an expedited major disaster declaration from President Obama after a barrage of deadly tornadoes and damaging storms struck Kentucky on Friday. “There is no doubt in my mind that the damages to our state are so heavy that we will qualify for federal disaster aid,” Gov. Beshear said. “To speed that process, today, I am sending President Obama notification that I am formally requesting a federal disaster declaration.”
Laurel Sheriff's Office continuing support in tornado ravaged areaSheriff John Root is reporting that Laurel Sheriff’s Deputies continued to provide support and assistance in the tornado ravaged areas all day Sunday. Deputies provided security patrols, traffic control at key intersections and assisted volunteers with their entry and exits of the area. Increased patrols of the affected areas will be continuing.

Upon arrival Deputy Gambrel found that someone had broken in to a garage and stolen several tools and a 2006 Suzuki 4-wheeler.
