(LONDON, KY.) – On Friday March 23, 2012 the Kentucky State Police, Post 11, London served several arrest warrants on subjects in Laurel County.

The warrants were issued as a result of a thirteen-month investigation into illegal drug activity.

(Corbin, KY)  On Friday March 23^rd 2012 at approximately 01:00 A.M. Officer Mike Hamblin of the Kentucky State Police-Vehicle Enforcement was conducting a traffic safety check point on KY770 near the Laurel Lake Bridge in Laurel County.

During the check point, officers observed a 1997 Ford Ranger nearly hit the Laurel Lake Bridge, and then almost hitting officers that were conducting the safety check point.

(LONDON, KY.) – On Monday, March 19, 2012 at approximately 1145 AM, KSP Trooper Parrish Baker, Monticello Police Sergeant Tony Morris and Monticello Police Officer Gordon Stephens responded to a Burglary in progress complaint at a vacant business on South Main Street in Monticello.

Upon arrival, at the former Stearns Ford building, officers discovered two men unlawfully removing metal and copper from the building.

Sheriff John Root is reporting that Laurel Sheriff’s Detective Jason Back and the U.S. Marshal Service located a male subject wanted on a parole violation on Tuesday afternoon (3-20-2012) at 4 P.M. The subject was believed to be at a residence on Hazel Patch Road, 9 miles north of London.

When Detective Back and marshals pulled into the driveway, a female subject there yelled to the suspect "they are here for you---run Tim!"

FRANKFORT, KY - Today the Executive Branch Ethics Commission found PHILIP MOBLEY, Manchester, Kentucky, in violation of KRS Chapter 11A, the Executive Branch Code of Ethics.

Sheriff John Root is reporting that Laurel Sheriff’s Detective Brad Mitchell and Detective Jason Back arrested four subjects on Waterworks Road, 2 miles west of London on Monday night (3-19-2012) at 8:46 P.M. after Deputy Greg Turner and Deputy Robbie Grimes responded to a complaint of a possible methamphetamine lab with the possibility of children being present.
